Good Morning, Sunland
It's Friday! And we hit 10K followers on TikTok. I usually don't celebrate these numbers anymore but for some reason, this feels different. I can't thank each and every person that reads this and watches on the different social channels. I truly am lucky that I get to love home for a living.

Daisy at SE Benchmark has been on me about making sure I have all my insurance in place. It's the top of the year, so I'm already doing an analysis of what I'm spending and how much. Insurance is a big piece of that.
Here's the thing: insurance companies just took a rate decrease. Yesterday, Daisy saved a Fort Pierce resident almost $1,000 for the year on their auto insurance. One phone call. $1,000 saved.
🏘️ Lincoln Park Community Gathers for Master Plan Workshop

The Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency held the first Lincoln Park Community Master Plan workshop Wednesday night at the Lincoln Park Community Center, drawing dozens of residents eager to shape the future of their neighborhood.
The Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council presented data showing about 820 parcels in Lincoln Park have homestead exemptions, roughly 20% of the community. Another 139 parcels are in church ownership, about 3% of the total.
What residents asked about: Sidewalks came up repeatedly. A Fort Pierce Youth Council member told planners he has to walk in the street because sidewalks aren't continuous throughout the neighborhood. Another student raised concerns about lighting at night for safety.
Gentrification and affordability dominated the conversation. Residents worried that as older homes get renovated and improved, they become too expensive for current residents. Planners acknowledged this is a difficult challenge they're researching.
What's being considered: The planning team is evaluating architecture standards, streetscape improvements including sidewalks and lighting, upgrades to Lincoln Park Regional Park, and development opportunities along Avenue D. They're also looking at a state program called YIMBY (Yes In God's Backyard) that helps religious institutions build affordable housing on their properties.
Two more workshops are planned. A public hearing is tentatively scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.

📸 This is Sunland: Career Day!

Got a chance to visit NorthPort K-8 yesterday for their career day. The fact that the kids get to experience something like this, seeing what careers are possible for them at such a young age is amazing and something I always want to be a part of. I want to give a huge shout out to the school. Also, Miss Floyd for putting this together. I cannot thank her enough
See you Monday!
With Love, Ja’Min
