It’s Tuesday! Didn’t mean to surprise you with the change in schedule—yesterday was Veteran’s Day (shoutout to my cousin Tori and my dad!). I planned to “take a break”, instead I took the time to build a couple of cool things I think you’ll love.

Website Update: Sunland’s main website got a little facelift! See it here. This is a step toward making Sunland a full hub for everything Saint Lucie, while this newsletter stays your quick, easy info spot. Think of it as a 1-2 punch.

🌮 Ate Local: Speaking of eating, I asked for the best wings, and everyone said Wing Bomb. Kept it simple: 10-piece mild, no fries. Solid wing! But I’ll be testing more recommendations this week to uncover the area’s best. Stay tuned for the verdict.

Port Saint Lucie’s River Nights

Port St. Lucie’s New Downtown Alternative

When you think of local downtowns, Vero, Fort Pierce, and Stuart might come to mind. But Port St. Lucie—Florida’s 7th largest city—has no real downtown of its own. Instead, it’s evolving a bit differently, forming unique pockets, each with its own character. Tradition is one hub, and now, The Port District is becoming another.

The Port District: PSL’s “Master Plan”

If you haven’t heard of The Port District, you’re not alone. Once called the Riverwalk District, this area on Westmoreland Blvd. is the city’s latest project—a “master plan” to shape it into a destination spot for Port St. Lucie. The vision? To blend recreation, business, and nature, creating a space that residents can enjoy and visitors will want to explore.

River Nights: Kicking Off November 14

To kick things off, The Port District will host its River Nights concert series, officially launching on November 14 with Indigo Dreamers Band. Originally set to begin in October, the series was postponed due to Hurricane Milton. Now, it’s all set for monthly live music events along the St. Lucie River, continuing through April.

Love this gem I found in the archives! My big cousin and little cousin holding it down at the DJ booth 😂. There’s so much live music happening around town—definitely worth checking out. I might head over to the River Nights to see what it’s all about.
