A couple weeks ago, I broke down June’s numbers in a video. That sparked a lot of conversation around commutes and work access, which is why I asked earlier in the newsletter about how far you’re traveling for work. 📹 Watch the video here
📊 Here’s the latest for July 2025:
St. Lucie County: 4.7%, unchanged from June. Labor force: 170,427. Total unemployed: 8,030
Indian River County: 5.0%, up from 4.9. Labor force: 67,860. Total unemployed: 3,389
Martin County: 4.3%, up from 4.2. Labor force: 72,921. Total unemployed: 3,154
Okeechobee County: 4.9%, up from 4.7. Labor force: 16,258. Total unemployed: 789
🧮 Statewide:
Florida’s unemployment rate held at 3.7%. The state added 7,300 jobs in July and 134,100 year-over-year. Total nonagricultural employment: 10,069,000. Growth was led by education, health services, and trade, transportation, and utilities.
