🛤️ Brightline Train Station Saga Continues in Stuart

The seemingly never-ending Brightline debate took another turn as Stuart’s City Commission revisited the train station lease rescinded on Sept. 9. While Fort Pierce remains hopeful, Stuart's cautious approach has thrown the project into uncertainty once again. Commissioner Chris Collins stressed Brightline's two-stop limit and a requirement for the city/county to pay 50% of the station's construction. The issue has divided the community, with slow-growth supporters celebrating and business leaders calling for renegotiation. The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on September 25, marking a pretty important moment for community, as there is now have a dedicated space to honor and celebrate the city's journey and growth over the years. (Public opening is October 2nd)
