✈️ American Airlines Begins Service to Vero Beach
American Airlines became the third commercial airline to serve Vero Beach when its first flight from Charlotte landed Thursday with 61 passengers aboard. The American Eagle commuter plane joins Breeze Airways, which started service in 2023, and JetBlue, which began flights in December, with connections through Charlotte offering travelers access to 170 cities in 26 countries.

🦀 Crabby's Dockside Closing February 15
Crabby's Dockside in Fort Pierce is permanently closing February 15 in what the company called "a decision not within our control." Beachside Hospitality Group says talks with the City of Fort Pierce and the Marina led to notice that operations must cease at the two-story waterfront spot, formerly the original Tiki Bar and Restaurant.

🏛️ Stuart Forms Committee for City Manager Search
The City of Stuart formed a screening committee to review 82 applications for city manager following the October removal of former manager Mike Mortell. The committee includes Vice Mayor Sean Reed, two HR representatives and two community members, with their first meeting scheduled for February 13 and a new city manager potentially in place by late March.
