🍋 The Main Squeeze: Open Carry Now Legal in Florida,
But Not Everywhere

What's Going On: Open carry of firearms became legal in Florida on September 25th after a state appeals court struck down the previous ban, ruling it violated the Second Amendment. The state did not appeal within 15 days, so the ruling took effect.
Can't Touch This: The change doesn't apply everywhere. Florida law outlines 15 locations where you still can't openly carry, including schools, courthouses, polling places, government meetings, jails, airports (inside terminals), bars, and anywhere federal law prohibits firearms.
The Real: This only applies to people already legally allowed to possess firearms. Other gun restrictions remain in place, including bans on threatening displays, felons possessing weapons, and private property owners' rights to prohibit firearms on their premises.
Florida now joins 46 other states that allow open carry in some form.
Bottom line: Gun owners can now openly carry firearms in most public places in Florida, but need to know where it's still prohibited to avoid legal issues.

🍋 Refill: Bagel Review!

The Spot: Treasure Coast Bagel Bakery, Fort Pierce
The Mission: Follow through on last week's newsletter promise
What I Got: Sausage, egg, and cheese on a bagel ($6)
First Impressions: Got there at 7 AM right when they opened. First customer of the day. The place smelled great, fresh bagels being made right there.
The Experience: Bagels are made fresh every day, and you can tell. My sandwich came out piping hot. The bagel was perfect. I don't usually eat bread, but you know, anything for the newsletter. Everything tasted fresh. No shortcuts here.
The Price: Six bucks. More than reasonable for a quality breakfast sandwich made with fresh bagels.
Bottom Line: Treasure Coast Bagel Bakery delivers exactly what it promises. Fresh, hot, authentic bagels without tourist trap pricing. Family owned with 25 years of experience, and it shows.
Would I Go Back? Already planning my return visit. Highly recommend.
